Activities

Welcome to The Pod's activities!

All Pod activities have been designed to be practical projects that can be carried out within a school environment and could make real and measurable difference to your school building or grounds.

  • For 4-7 year olds there are games, lesson plans, worksheets and an assembly to give an introduction to green issues.
  • For older pupils there are a range of activities which can help to make your school more sustainable and also get students interested in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths).
  • All activities have been approved by Eco-Schools England and will help towards an Eco-Schools award. They are suitable for small group, classes or whole school participation.
  • If you complete Pod activities, we will measure and track the impact of your work on your school's pod-o-meter.

How do activities work?

  3. Find out what to do: read the resource pack
  4. Start an activity: run a 'start audit'
  5. Run your activity: remember to update your blog
  6. Finish the activity: run an 'end audit' to measure your savings
  7. Submit your blog for a medal
  8. Look at the pod-o-meter to see and track your savings
