    our waste week stared today. The Eco Group helped the other students sort the waste at lunchtime into 3 bins, a big change for us! We are collecting clothes for 'Phil' the bag and filling a skip, as well as having a uniform recycle - busy busy busy!

    We are holding our waste week at the end of May. Our eco-committee are presenting an assembly. We have our council waste education department coming to run workshops for two days, and are having key stage carousels of activities.

    Waste Week is a great, practical way to teach children how to reduce, reuse, recycle and not to waste food. The older children are enjoying being Waste Inspectors and are taking a leading role in reducing waste at lunchtimes and breaktimes.

    We took part in waste week and were amazed at how much we wasted. We found out that most of our waste was actually cooked food as our council doesn't recycle it. So now we're writing letters to the council to ask if they can start!

    I had an idea to make a robot Bob to be our eco club mascot with a friends robot Jessica. I have used cardboard, cellotape, paper and pens. We have also made rain catchers for drought. Our eco club is running sucsesfully.
