    Being such a busy school, we're just getting around to waste week now. Our campaign will last longer than a week as we change our habits. So far, the Eco-club have taken assembly, shown Busta's movies and we had a visitor in from the council.

    We did our first proper food audit today, but only a day after our introduction Assembly, so not much change in food and packaging waste yet. We will keep our campaign high profile and keep reminding the children and the parents.

    We did our surprise audit back in March but had a delay in introducing our Waste Week to the whole school. So finally in April we have had our Assembly which was very successful. The children really enjoyed the fact or fiction part.

    During Waste Week we founded an Eco Council. These children were responsible for making posters to advertise waste week, and encouraged children to make a waste pledge. During lunch time they actively promoted the message Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

    Our Eco-Warriors spent a week weighing our waste at lunchtimes. We gave stickers to children who left the least waste and recorded the amounts for each class. Well done Year 1 & 6!!!

    We have now made some more reminder stickers to go by light switches and on computers to remind people to turn them off or put computers to sleep when not in use over lunch but needed for the afternoon.
