Switch Off Fortnight 18 November - 1 December 2013

Switch Off Fortnight is a time to get the whole school involved in saving energy. You will run an awareness campaign to let everyone know how important it is, and find out whether this has made any difference with our before and after audits. There are two activities on the Pod to help you do this - Goodbye Standby and Switch On to Switching Off.

How to take part in Switch Off Fortnight

• Register with the Pod if you haven't already done so and sign up to take part in Switch Off Fortnight
• Decide whether you want to run the Goodbye Standby or Switch On to Switching Off activity (or both!)
• Research energy with the help of the Pod's Energy information pack
• Run your first audit and upload the results to the Pod
• Launch a campaign to encourage people to save energy
• Involve families and friends with the take it home worksheet and the energy pledge page (coming soon)
• Run the audit again to see what a difference you have made

We also have a limited number of free Switch Off Fortnight celebration packs to give away, containing posters, stickers and more.

And when Switch Off Fortnight is over...

it doesn't mean you have to stop saving energy. Why not use the campaign as the start of a year round initiative and keep up the good work with our follow on activity the Big Energy Show?
