Investigate further with this activity, where students will persuade people in your school to consider wind power as a source of energy. They will carry out a survey of their school grounds and find out if there is a potential turbine site.

How you can win a medal

Podometers

When you finish an activity we use your start and end audits to count your activities and measure any savings you make. You can track your savings using your school's pod-o-meters.

Eco-schools England

This 'medium' activity contributes significantly towards an Eco-Schools Silver Award. Two or more will contribute towards a Green Flag application.

Remember you will need to complete an Eco-Schools formal environmental review and detailed action plan to meet Silver Award criteria.
