Transformation of Quad into a quiet area.

Planters were made and flowers planted. Gravel was laid and logs and benches made for seating. A sculpture was made by a local artist and Yr 7 students. It is an Inuit design. A hand with a hole in it signifies never taking too much always leaving sufficient...

Growing Pansies for the elderly

Pansies were grown. Pots and compost were purchased. The Pansies were given to the elderly in Peel along with a Christmas hamper from the school.

Students continued with the tree planting project. Stakes and tubes were purchased and 50 free trees were donated by the Woodland Trust.

50 students and staff were involved in the Big Tidy Up. They decided to concentrate on picking up litter in the school grounds and on some of the routes they take when walking to school. Most of the rubbish collected was plastic bottles and sweet wrappers....

School emblem from scrap

Students created a giant Viking Ship to display at the school using scrap metal and other materials. The Viking Ship is the school emblem.

Four cycle buses were created led by staff and over 70 staff and pupils rode to school. Cycle buses started from Ballaugh, Douglas, Foxdale and Glen Maye and picked up students on route. Tea and toast was very welcome on arrival.
